WAPAN selects up to 30 individuals from around the world to receive a fully-funded off-site training leading to a professional development certificate in peace education, peacebuilding, and conflict resolution and conflict prevention. Selection for participation is merit-based and open competition. Applications are reviewed by a selection committee after which applicants with strong applications are selected as semi-finalists. The semi-finalists are interviewed and thereafter only successful applicants are invited for the training.

ELIGIBILITY
WAPAN Peace Rebels Fellowship is designed for individuals/students with professional and academic background and/or work experience in international relations, peace and conflict studies, conflict resolution, and social /community development.

Applicants must also meet the following requirements to be eligible:
1. Are proficient in reading, writing, listening and speaking English.
2. Strong commitment to international understanding and peace as demonstrated through professional and academic achievements and personal or community service.
3. Excellent leadership skills.
4. Be 18 to 35 years of age at the time of application submission.
5. Have access to the internet and can use the internet well.
6. Are eligible to host peace education and peace activities in schools or communities.
7. Active engagement in public or community service, volunteerism, or mentorship.
8. A commitment to apply leadership skills and training to benefit your community and country at large.
9. The ability to work cooperatively in diverse groups and respect the opinions of others.

    3. Participants after completion automatically become certified WAPAN Peace Rebels.
    4. Participants acquire various forms of peace education strategies that prepare them for leadership roles in peace advocacy, conflict resolution and peacebuilding in their various endeavours.
