Thank you for your interest in contributing to sustainable peace and the global peace agenda and for considering an internship opportunity at WAPAN. Interns at WAPAN work on vital projects that require their direct involvement from the design to implementation of interventions. We rely on the skills and insights of all team members to deliver quality projects on time. This allows you to develop important skills and build on existing professional capabilities.
Our internship programs provide a unique opportunity for interns to have both on the field experience as well as experience in the office environment. WAPAN’s internships are usually for a duration of either 3 or 6 months. Some interns eventually get to work at WAPAN depending on availability of vacancy at the time of application. To apply for an internship placement, please prepare;
- Motivational letter – stating your interest in an internship, including dates and which department/programs of interest);
- Recommendation letters from at least two referees in a professional or academic background;
- Resume/CV;
- University transcripts and copies of your diplomas (Submission of diplomas are waived for those who have not completed their studies.

Once your internship is confirmed, please prepare the following
- Two 2×2” passport photos with a white background;
- ID or Passport that is valid for at least 6 months after your arrival in Ghana (regardless of the length of your stay)
- Visa fee & Flight (Foreigners) as WAPAN is not in the position to provide expenses related to traveling.
